No one who works at the winery is over 35, but the land itself has a storied history. German immigrants planted the first vines on the property in the mid 1800s. The winery flourished until prohibition hit in 1920. A 100 year-old hacienda still stands and plans are to restore it and eventually use it as the primary tasting room. And as if the beauty of the land, the history and the vibe weren’t reason enough to visit, the wine, from a bracingly crisp sylvaner to a silky smooth cab, are delicious!
